Door County Peninsula, Wisconsin - Lake Michigan
I had been hearing about the Door County Peninsula for years, about how beautiful it is and how the landscapes are so serene. After many years later and finally having my shooting schedule open up, I was finally able to make my way over, up and down and around the peninsula. Wow.
I am happy to report, that all the gossip about Door County Peninsula is spot on. It is truly an iconic landscape of the Great Lakes. Limestone bluffs. Ancient cedars. Quiet bays. Scattered islands and laid back summer villages. And I can't forget to mention the beautiful orchards that seem to appear around every hill.
This is Wisconsin at its finest, which is impressive, considering that it is also home to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore to its north.
